One of the numerous agents to take the moniker of Action Man. He was active from the 1960s into the 1980s, and often found himself allied with members of the Adventure Team.

Fiction[edit | edit source]

One of Action Man's missions in the 1960s brought him to the United States of America, tracking a group of Brasnyan spies trying to smuggle IRON Trooper parts. The Brasnyans had set up shop in a "haunted house" in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, using hologram technology to create "ghosts" to scare away any snoopers. One such snooper was kid detective Mighty Mikey Power, who was searching for a missing boy named Finney. Action Man saved Mikey from the Brasnyans, fighting them off while Mikey found Finney. Action Man was impressed with Mikey's detective work despite his disability, commenting that it was too bad the word wasn't fit for "decent chaps." Power and Glory TFWikiFavicon.png

Sometime during the 1980s, Action Man encountered the Adventure Team. Secret Raiders TFWikiFavicon.png At another time, "G.I. Joe" Colton mistook Soundwave for a piloted mecha and wondered if Action Man was at the helm. The Secret of the Mummy's Tomb TFWikiFavicon.png

By 1994, this Action Man had been succeeded by a new Action Man. When Eagles Scream TFWikiFavicon.png In 2016, Pauline Bestley showed images of him and several precursors/successors to Ian Noble while lecturing the incumbent Action Man on his responsibilities. Absolute Beginners

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • This Action Man's appearance is based on the 1960s Action Man Soldier figure.[1]
  • While trying to recall his name in "Secret Raiders", Miles Mayhem calls him "Captain–" before he is corrected. This is likely a reference to another one of G.I. Joe's 60s-era competitors, Captain Action.
