This article is about the V.E.N.O.M. transforming motorcycle. For the Cobra submersible, see Piranha (Cobra). |
The Piranha is a special vehicle developed by Project Spectrum. The Piranha is an indigo motorcycle with a weaponized sidecar, able to be launched and convert into a submersible vehicle. Its primary pilot is Sylvester "Sly" Rax.
Thanks to special modifications from Cobra, it can also combine with the Manta and Rhino to form the vicious King Cobra.

When V.E.N.O.M. was hired to retrieve the head of Astrotrain for Destro, Sly served as backup for Vanessa and Cliff Dagger. He then used its sub mode to retrieve Astrotrain's crotch, aided by a group of Iron Grenadiers in Sting Raiders. However, they were thwarted by Gloria and Julio Lopez in the Shark and G.I. Joe member Deep Six in a S.H.A.R.C. While Julio was able to retrieve the piece, Rax used the Piranha to fire at an old naval mine, severely injuring the M.A.S.K. medic. The Deathstone
When V.E.N.O.M. was absorbed into Cobra, Cobra scientist Scrap-Iron rebuilt the Piranha, modifying it to be able to combine with the Warfield's Manta and Sheppard's Rhino to form the giant snake robot King Cobra.
